Reporter who broke news of Libby's asbestos scandal to speak at J-School

Andrew Schneider, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner who first broke the story of asbestos poisoning in Libby, will visit the UM J-School later this month to discuss investigative techniques and participate in “Stories from Libby and Beyond,” a symposium that will examine asbestos problems not only in Libby but around the world. The symposium will also draw Paul Brodeur, a former New Yorker magazine staff writer who has written four books on asbestos. [More]

Annual student doc takes shape

If it's spring, it must be time for broadcast students to put in long days reporting, taping and editing the annual student documentary to run on Montana PBS. The program premiers for parents and friends on May 14, the night before graduation.[More]
