Charles W. Willey: Undergraduate degree from Montana State University in 1954; and graduated from the University of Montana School of Law with high honors (1959). Runner up best oral argument national Moot Court finals during 1 sl semester 2nd year oflaw school, 1957, and Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Law Review 1958-1959. He was law clerk for Judge Walter L. Pope, Chief Judge of U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals 1959-1960.
Professor Willey was admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Montana (1959) and California (1960); U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Federal Circuit; U.S. Tax Court; U.S. Court of Claims; U.S. District Courts for Northern District and for Central District of California. Chuck practiced law in California and intermittently in Montana 1960-2001. He is listed in the 1st edition, Best Lawyers in America. He was one of three co-authors of the Montana Probate Forms manual, has spoken four times at the Montana Tax Institute, has presented at eight Montana CLEs, and has held an "A V" rating in Martindale-Hubbell for more than thirty years. Presently he is Chair of the State Bar of Montana's "BETTR" (Business, Estates, Trusts, Tax and Real Estate) Section. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Montana
School of Law since 2005.
