Research

I am interested in understanding the mechanisms and processes that underlie the evolution of life history diversity and the regulation of population sizes. I address this area using two approaches: 1) comparative studies of the evolutionary ecology of birds and 2) using demography to answer applied questions. My dissertation research focuses upon understanding the ecological factors that create and maintain life history variation using a combination of comparative and experimental approaches.
