The University of Montana-Missoula administers Letters of Appointment in accordance with criteria established by Montana University System Board of Regents policy and University procedures.
A Letter of Appointment may be used for professional and administrative positions not eligible for inclusion in University Faculty Association that have a specified period of employment not to exceed one year; are contingent upon the availability of unstable funding sources; and meet the conditions set forth in the Human Resource Service procedures for Board of Regents Contract employees.
