To become a senator, a candidate must have completed six months of continuous employment at The University of Montana - Missoula on or before June 1 of the year in which his/her term shall begin.
We urge you to consider placing your name in nomination or to select the name of a qualified candidate from the Staff List during the election season. (If nominating another staff member, please get her/his permission first.) Nominations for the 2012-2013 school year are due to Lanell Curry, Communication Studies, by Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
The Staff Senate enjoys the support and cooperation of the president of The University of Montana and his/her administration. We are kept informed of campus news and are actively involved in campus activities. Service on the Staff Senate is interesting and rewarding. The Senators are granted release time to meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to noon. All staff are invited to attend meetings.
