She has traveled to thirty countries and she has lived in Austria, Germany, and Sweden.
She has a J.D. degree from University of Helsinki and a Graduate Law degree from George Washington University in International and Comparative Law, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar.
Marja Unkuri-Chaudhry is the Director of Education Abroad at the University of Montana. She directs UM’s Education Abroad programs as well as faculty and staff exchanges. She has 16 years of experience working in International Education and has taught as an Adjunct Professor of International Law in UM School of Law. A native of Finland, she also worked as an attorney in Finland for several years. Marja has presented several times at international conferences on Risk Management in Education abroad and she is currently serving her third term representing the University of Montana in the Council of Advisors of the International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP).
Marja loves hiking, running, and skiing.
