Samantha Mitchell - Biology

Samantha MitchellBiology major Samantha Mitchell presented exciting new findings from UM’s Lawrence Lab to fellow neuroscience students and professors at the Society for Neuroscience annual conference in New Orleans in November 2012. Samantha’s research explores the behavioral effects of deleting a subclass of acetylcholine receptors from a specific type of interneuron within the mouse brain. Her poster generated engaging discussions with scholars from around the world, and opened doors to potential future collaborations. Samantha writes, “… the conference allowed me to strengthen my professional presentation skills and afforded me the unique opportunity to experience the world’s largest neuroscience convention.”
