EITA Achievements

  • Institutionalizing of EITA Working Group campaign as Digital Accessibility Committee 
  • Kicking off the EITA light assessment cycle

ATS Accomplishments

(ATS is a division of IT that does a large part of digital accessibility work on campus - along with Marlene Zentz for UMOnline, library staff and all of you.)

  • Processed 106,747 pages (or 175 books) with a .82 day turn around time
  • Meet with 80 students in support of assistive technology (using 85 hours of contact time)
  • Evaluated 55 pieces of software1
  • Offered 7 accessibility and assistive technology short courses
  • Captioned 4281 minutes:
    • equals approximately 1070 hours of work or 26 1/4 weeks
    • completed by 1.25 FTE student workers and .6 FTE staff
  • Participated in Tech Partners, Student Computer Fee committee and EITA committee


1-Evaluation takes normally at least 2 hours and can take up to 4 or 5 hours
