Hall has been home to the UM library, law school and psychology department.
It currently houses the Social Work, Enviornmental studies programs.
Jeannette Rankin was a 1902 graduate of UM. She was a social worker
and suffragist. Jeannette was the first woman elected to U.S. Congress
in 1916 and was re-elected in 1940. She was the only member of Congress
to vote against the United State's entry into both world wars.

This entrance consists of a ramp that leads to the basement of the building.
