About the Operations and Finance Sector

Operations and Finance provides essential customer-focused services to the University of Montana community in support of the University’s mission.

The Office of the Vice President for Operations and Finance is directly responsible to the President of the University of Montana for all administrative and financial support activities impacting the campus. In addition to advancing UM’s sustainability efforts, Operations and Finance also provides critical support to Missoula College, as well as Helena College, Montana Tech and UM Western. The varied divisions under the purview of the Vice President include:

Adams Center

Western Montana's premier venue for athletic events, concerts and special productions

Information Technology

Client (academic and administrative) support, cyber-infrastructure, classroom technology, enterprise and student technologies, research computing and cybersecurity

Environmental Health and Safety

Provides oversight and guidance on matters related to occupational health and safety, the environment and related regulatory compliance
