このような人材を育てる方法の一つとしてキャリアプランニングがあります。学生が入学オリエンテーションに参加した時から、学業計画と将来の目標を達成するためのお手伝いをしています。

Part of an education at the University of Montana includes building the skills you need today to be successful tomorrow.  

In the classroom, you will be offered transformational learning opportunities — ways to forever change the way you learn and the way you view the world. Outside the classroom, we have the people and programs in place to ensure you are prepared to be a global citizen and make lasting, meaningful contributions to your city, your country and the world.

One way we do this is through our Career Planning. From your first day on campus during Orientation,  we will work with you to take a proactive role in charting not only your academic schedule, but your academic and career goals.

We believe choosing an academic major and a career path should be closely connected, and our Career Services Center specializes in assisting with this decision-making process. Career planning occurs on a continuum that progresses throughout your college career. Whether it is choosing a major/career or finding a full-time job after graduation, we hope you will visit our office early and often in your academic career and take advantage of the services we provide as part of the benefit of being a UM student. Career Services will also help students go to international/Japanese career forums in Boston, Los Angeles and Chicago. You will be able to go home to Japan after your time with us and get a job with a Japanese company in your field. We can help.
