Immerse yourself in another culture by working, interning or volunteering abroad. Each of these could take place within local community organizations, government, non-profit, business and education.

	IE3 Global Internships	UM has a partnership with IE3 Global Internships, a program that offers many different credit-bearing opportunities to students.
	Global Grizzlies	An ASUM student group in which students have the opportunity to combine their classroom education with the real-world experience of a lifetime.

Missoula Organizations with International Focus

	Missoula Medical Aid	Works with rural and impoverished communities in Honduras to improve health and access to health care.
	Montana World Trade Center	MWTC is a program of the University of Montana. The Center works to develop the untapped international trade opportunties for the state and region.
	Wood for Haiti	Wood For Haiti supplies U.S. wood, materials and contruction training to Haitians in it's effort to build hurricane/earthquake resistant homes and community centers.
	Montana World Affairs Council	A nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering global understanding and awareness in Montana's classrooms and communities.

	Go Abroad	Go Abroad provides a one-stop information center for students wishing to study, intern, volunteer and teach abroad.
	UCLA International Institute	A list of international internships and jobs focused on development. Opportunities generally consist of micro-enterprise, urban planning and development, health, environment and relief among other things.
	Transitions Abroad	Transitions Abroad is a resource for paid and volunteer work, living, study and cultural travel overseas.
	Idealist	Idealist is a database of opportunities guided by the common desire of their members and supporters to find practical solutions to social and environmental problems.

	AMIDEAST	An American non-profit organization engaged in international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa
	Amnesty International	Human Rights are the focus for Amnesty International, a global movement in over 150 countries and territories world-wide.
	BUNAC	The Brittish Universities North America Club offers a range of work abroad and volunteer abraod opportunities in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand as well as support with the visa application process.
	Central Intelligence Agency	CIA work or intern abroad programs provide an opportunity to enhance your skills in a job assignment that is related to your major, while learning about the world of high-tech intelligence gathering.
	German Academic Exchange Service	DAAD is the German national agency for the support of international academic cooperation. They offer many paid internships and cultural programs.
	International Association for the Exchange for Technical Experience	IAESTE is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization. It provides students in technical degrees (primarily Science, Engineering and the applied arts) with paid, course-related, training abroad.
	International Development Exchange	IDEX is an organization that is dedicated to alleviating poverty and injustice around the world through ideas from local leaders.
	Institute of International Education	A private nonprofit in the international exchange of people and ideas. IIE creates programs of study and training for students, educators and professionals from all sectors.
	National Security Agency	NSA hires for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, language and more. Their internships, co-ops, scholarships and work study programs will help you to develop and shape your career before your studies are through.
	Oxfam International	An international confederation of 17 organizations networked together in more than 90 countries, as part of a global movement for change, to build a future free from injustice of poverty.
	Peace Corps	The Peace Corps provides volunteers for 27 month placements to more than 70 countries in the developing world that request assistance.
	Save the Children	Save the Children is the leading independent organization for children in need, with programs in over 120 countries, including the United States.
	U.S. Department of State	At the U.S. Department of State you'll have the opportunity to gain insight into U.S. foreign policy and diplomacy, explore new career avenues and acquire lifelong skills as you represent America to the world.
	The United Nations	The United Nations Development Programme is the United Nations' global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.
	U.S. Agency for International Development	The U.S. Agency for International Development is an independent agency that provides economic, development and humanitarian assistance around the world in support of the foreign policy goals of the United States.
	The World Bank	The World Bank is a partnership to reduce poverty and support development by providing low-interest loans, interest-free credits, and grants to developing countries.
