The University of Montana Alumni Scholarship is funded by alumni who want to help current students experience the same pleasure of learning and growing at UM that they enjoyed during their college careers.
The University of Montana Alumni Association Scholarship is open to students whose parents or grandparents have attended The University of Montana. The applicant also must:
• have attained junior status (no less than 60 earned credits) prior to commencement of the Fall 2009 semester, and
• be considered a full-time student for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters,

In its second year, the UMAA scholarship is awarded to a deserving student who has followed in his/her parent’s footsteps by enrolling at The University of Montana. To be eligible, at student must have a parent or grandparent that has attended The University of Montana, attained junior status (no less than 60 earned credits) prior to commencement of the Fall 2009 semester, and be a full-time student for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters. Graduate students who also received a baccalaureate degree from The University of Montana are eligible as well.
The application requires verification of eligibility and is comprised of a single essay question: What was your most rewarding campus or community contribution while at The University of Montana?
Completed applications are due to the Alumni Relations Office no later than 5:00 p.m. December 31, 2009.
