Contact & Application

Students can apply online through the Admissions web page or by paper application available upon request.

We recommend that applying students visit our campus and tour the School of Art's comprehensive facilities and learn about our programs. Tours are offered Mon-Fri, by appointment. It is suggested that you visit during the academic year, although tours are available during the summer.

Transfer Students

Many of your credits earned at another institution can transfer to UM.  An evaluation of transfer credits is conducted by Enrollment Services-Admissions at the time of your admission, and will be included in your acceptance packet.  College-level classes are accepted from accredited institutions, while individual exceptions are needed for non-accredited institutions. Transfer credits of C- or better count towards general education credits, majors, minors and certificates.

Additionally, the School of Art determines course-equivalents for our program.  Transfer students should contact the School of Art for a review.
