Bio

Nathan completed his BA in Urban Planning at Grand Valley State University. Since then, he has worked for several nonprofit arts organizations including the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art and Ox-Bow School of Art. Nathan completed his Post-Baccalaureate studies in ceramics at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas before arriving at the University of Montana.

Statement

In recognition of the importance of the objects and environments that surround us in our daily lives, I explore the dichotomous relationship between the industrial and the handmade. Through the appropriation of industrial objects and techniques, my work addresses perceived and real values of those objects.
