ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA SKI TEAM

******CURRENT NEWS (UPDATED 1/31/2005)*******

The U of M Alpine Ski Team has been dedicated to competitive ski racing at the collegiate level since its founding in 1996. The U of M Alpine Ski Team competes with colleges in the Northwest Region of the country within the Grand Teton Conference of the United States Collegiate Snowsport Association (USCSA).

The purpose of the ski team is to promote intercollegiate alpine skiing as an organized sport at the University of Montana. Any person officially enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at the UM is eligible for membership. We are a racing team which strives to refine the skills of those individuals at any ability level who have the determination to become competitive racers.

The U of M Alpine Ski Team is partially funded by Association of Students at the University of Montana (ASUM) to help cover the expenses associated with running a ski team. The remaining funding comes from extensive fundraising activities as well as from team dues.
