Note to BBIRD Contributors 
Contributors to the BBIRD database should note that a number of taxanomic and nomenclatural changes have been made since the development of the BBASE program. Please make sure that you are using the current (correct) species code when recording data in BBASE and not necessarily the ones found in your BBASE lookup tables.
For example - the Solitary Vireo (former species code = SOVI) has now been divided into three species one of which is the Blue-headed Vireo (species code = BHVI). Thus, SOVI is no longer a valid code.
