"Asking for Organs: Different Needs and Different Values"

This article explores two issues: (1) the context in which the Required Request for Organ Donation regulation evolved; and (2) the rural environment into which it may implemented. The findings stem from nine multi-method studies, conducted by Cook and Hoas, among rural residents and healthcare providers in a multi-state area. Findings from these studies provide a reference point for issues that shape decisions about organ donation.
