Practical Nursing (PN)

Practical Nursing (PN) programs prepare students to become entry-level practical nurses who work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or other medical professional. Students complete a 2-semester Certificate of Applied Science (CAS) and then sit for the national licensure examination for practical nursing. Bitterroot College offers all prerequisite coursework required for application to Montana's Practical Nursing programs.

Registered Nursing (RN) programs prepare students to become registered nurses who provide a wide range of patient care services often as part of a medical team. Students complete a 4-semester Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree and then sit for the national licensure examination for registered nursing. Bitterroot College offers all prerequisite coursework required for application to Montana's Practical Nursing programs.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs prepare students to become registered nurses with opportunities for advancement in education, leadership, management, public health, and research. Students complete an 8-semester Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and then sit for the national licensure examination for registered nursing. Bitterroot College offers most of the prerequisite coursework required for application to Montana State University's (MSU) Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
