Registered Nursing (RN)

Registered Nurses assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. They administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients and may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Registered Nurses require licensing in Montana through the state Board of Nursing.

Bitterroot College offers all prerequisite courses required for admission to the Registered Nursing programs at City College MSU-BillingsFlathead Valley Community College, Great Falls College MSUMiles Community CollegeMissoula College UM, and Montana State University Northern. Students completing Registered Nursing programs earn an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree.
