Copyright Information

The following items are examples of copyrighted materials:

• Literature
• Books
• Magazines
• Newspaper articles
• Cartoons
• Music and lyrics
• Published photographs
• Maps
• Published illustrations

We CANNOT COPY the following:

• Material which has All Rights Reserved
• Materials published 20 years previous to the present year
• Any part of a Course Pack, unless permission is obtained from The Bookstore

We CAN COPY the following:

• 10% of material printed between 1900 and 20 years prior to the present year (e.g. 10 pages from a 100 page book)
• 25% of material printed before 1900 (e.g. 25 pages from a 100 page book)
• The Missoulian, Kaimin, Independent
• Color materials (1 color copy for educational purposes)
• Black and white transparencies from copyrighted materials ( 1 copy for educational purposes)
