We will arrange interviews between your organization's representatives and The University of Montana students and alumni. By providing our office with information about the goals of your recruiting visit, our office is able to set-up an interview schedule that meets your needs. Recruiting can occur fall or spring semester. When deciding on an interview date, please allow enough time for students to research your company and apply for your positions.
Our Recruiting Coordinator is available to you for any questions you may have
in the time before the
interviews. You will receive confirmation information
about your event to allow you to prepare. Upon arrival
on-campus, you'll be assigned private interviewing rooms located in our
office. You will be given a copy of the resume for each student who is on
your interview schedule.
Career Services uses Griz eRecruiting, a web-based career management system, to assist you in managing
your human resource needs. From this system, you will be able to not only
post positions, but also monitor sign-ups for your on-campus
interviews.
Holding an information session before your company interviews enables your recruiter to meet with students in a more casual atmosphere. You may want to present company information and details about a typical day's job or give a presentation on a specific topic. Information sessions are also a good way to increase your visibility among underclassmen for upcoming recruitment seasons. Career Services would be happy to arrange for a location, audio/visual equipment, and catering.
Employer Showcases in the University Center
Employers can make a short visit to campus to highlight their company and increase student knowledge of opportunities available. Tables in the busy University Center are an excellent way to speak to students in a informal atmosphere.
The Career Services Office holds Career Fairs for students and employers each semester.
The Accounting and Pharmacy Career Fair, is held each fall. If you are a company representative recruiting students majoring in accounting or pharmacy or looking for interns this career fair is for you! In addition, admission representatives seeking students for your graduate school program are also welcome.
The Big Sky Career Fair, offering full-time employment, internships, summer and part-time job opportunities, is held each spring.
The Educator's Career Fair, held in the spring, gives teacher candidates and school districts a central place to meet and make employment decisions.
Each Fall,Career Services hosts the annual "Student Employment Job Fair" for business, government, health and non-profits needing students for part-time work throughout the school year.
The Griz eRecruiting system allows you to make connections with students from your own office. You can search, view, and print student resumes that match your specified qualifications. Call our office for access information.
Career Services and The University of Montana have established Recruiting Policies which govern all recruiting activities related to its students and alumni.
Contact Faculty and Student Groups
Building relationships with faculty and student groups can lead you to some of your best employees. We can put you in contact with individuals from different departments and groups.
Many of our students use our Resource Library as a way of researching companies. If you have company materials, please send them to our office and we would be happy to make them available to students.
Many employers find it helpful to connect with the campus newspaper, the Kaimin, and advertise interviews or information sessions directly to students. (Call 406-243-6541 for ad rates)
