nearly 100 years, The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning at The University of
Montana has built a strong reputation for providing continuing
education opportunities throughout Montana and beyond. We provide
unique learning environments based on the university’s
high quality education programs and we share the commitment
to meet the changing needs of society through access to lifelong
learning.
The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning
is recognized for its dedication to excellence in programs and
for its innovative approaches to provide access to education.
We are known for leadership in making available Summer Semester,
Wintersession, Extended Courses, Online Learning, Extended Degree
Programs, grants and contracts and a wide variety of non-credit
offerings which respond to the educational needs of our students
and our community.
Our promise is to build upon our considerable strengths and
to respond to the changing needs of our students, as represented
in The University of Montana’s strategic plan. This document
reflects the particular nature and unique characteristics that
make The University so special, and, The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning’s
