This
conference is presented by The Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program,
Department
of Public Health and Human Services to
reinforce the importance that every
Montanan has the right to breathe clean indoor air. The conference
purpose is to expose the tobacco industry's ongoing tactics to undermine
the public's right to breathe clean indoor air; to demonstrate the urgent
need to protect public health by eliminating exposure to secondhand
smoke; and to show that every Montanan can play a part in full implementation
of the 2005 Clean Indoor Air Act.
Conference
Goals:
- Expand
public support for full implementation of the Clean Indoor Air
Act.
- Engage
decision makers in addressing the tobacco epidemic in Montana
- Prepare
conference participants to engage new allies and partners to work
for a smokefree Montana
- Raise
public awareness of the Clean Indoor Air Act through earned media.
