conference planners are encouraging individuals and groups to
recommend Special Sessions, which would focus discussions and
presentations around specific areas of interest. The content
of a Special Session may include any social science and economics
subject as it relates to the wildland fire challenges. Specifically,
attendees are encouraged to submit such |

| Special
Session topics as: community planning needs and effective solutions,
successful public evacuation protocols and strategies, innovative
solutions in human resource
issues, firefighter safety, successful fire prevention strategies,
managing arson challenges, innovative ways of reducing fire
protection costs, and others. |
Please know
there
is time within our conference to schedule workshops or 'staff
rides'. These opportunities are available before during or after
the conference. Individuals interested in delivering a workshop,
hosting a 'staff ride' or in attending a specific work shop
or training session should contact our planning team. We will
do our best to satisfy the needs of our registrants and those
in the wildland fire field. |
Special
session and workshop suggestions are due by March 30,
2007. Notification of acceptance will be sent by April
30, 2007. Special session individual presentation abstracts
are due by March 30, 2007.
