Off-Campus MBA

and MBA Foundation Program
The Off-Campus MBA Program itself is a dynamic evening program
delivered via interactive video system to Billings, Bozeman,
Butte, Dillon, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula.
Approximately 100 students, who are often working professionals
in their communities, meet in classrooms to participate in live,
video-conference instruction. Interactive video technology enables
students from several sites to interact at the same time with the
instructor and each other. Courses are offered during fall and spring
semesters. Admission to the MBA is required to participate in all
classes. However, for interested students who hold a bachelor’s
degree, but who may not have the prerequisite coursework in business
necessary to apply directly to the MBA, relief is available by way
of the online MBA Foundation Program.
The Foundation Program is a series of five courses delivered
entirely online; two in the fall, two in
the spring and one during summer session. These are “500-level”
courses requiring graduate nondegree admission and yielding graduate
credit. Once UM-M admission is obtained, students use the regular
registration system along with the External Degree Programs class
schedule information (click below). Once registered, students are
advised of login procedures for the Internet courses. It is important
for students to provide the UM-M student information system, CyberBear,
with current e-mail addresses. The Off-Campus MBA and the Foundation
program offer the same level of excellence as the highly acclaimed
and accredited MBA program offered on campus in Missoula. Courses
are taught by regular UM-Missoula faculty. These opportunities are
offered by The University of Montana-Missoula, School of Business
Administration in cooperation with Continuing Education.
