UMExtended Courses facilitate educational and experiential learning opportunities outside the traditional classroom. UMExtended Courses offer both academic credit and non-credit courses, programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Course delivery includes face-to-face, online, blended learning, travel, and experiential learning opportunities.

By partnering with academic departments at The University of Montana and a variety of sponsoring agencies, UMExtended is able to offer an array of academic credit courses designed for teacher recertification, professional development, and personal enrichment. Formal admission to the University is not required.
Please peruse our Academic Credit Course Listing or take a peek at our Featured Non-Credit Programs below to find the class (or classes!) that are right for you!

UMExtended also offers non-credit courses and programs to foster learning and inquiry without the pressure of grades. Programs are intended for personal enrichment as well as professional development and tend to be short, focused courses. Many programs offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to provide proof of attendance.
UMExtended courses rotate and new courses are added frequently. Check this website regularly to see what's coming up.
