Experience Montana: A Series of Field Courses & Logo

Call for Courses

Mountain View in the Crown of the Continent

The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning (SELL) at The University of Montana welcomes proposals for unique, 2-5 day field courses featuring Montana’s unique landscape, natural resources, and cultural heritage. Possible course topics should include ecology, geology, geography, wildlife, climate change, glaciers, paleontology, Montana history, archaeology, cultural anthropology, land management, and anything that relates to the beauty and mystery that is Montana.  All proposals that feature Montana and what is unique to Montana will be considered.  However, Experience Montana courses are not simply  guided tours; they are educational opportunities with an outdoor component; short field courses designed for an adult audience.  Both UM faculty and experts from all around Montana are encouraged to propose courses.
