Need a great website, but don't know how to write code? This course is the just the ticket. You will learn how to build a website using WordPress, one of the most popular and robust content management systems. Through a series of assignments paired with lectures, you'll get the knowledge you need plus hands-on experience in building, publishing, and modifying a website using this exceptional open-source platform.
By the end of this course, students will have a live website that can be independently maintained and updated. Students will also recieve a series of WordPress tutorials so that learning can be refreshed and expanded as needed.
Karen Porter is a Missoula native with 25 years experience. She spent 10 years leading marketing efforts for two multi-billion dollar companies, 11 years teaching marketing at the University of Montana, and has owned or co-owned several small businesses. Being involved in internet marketing since 1998, she brought digital experience to the classroom in 2011 when she introduced the first university-level online and social media marketing course in the state of Montana. She currently owns Impact Online Marketing, offering digital marketing strategy, website development, search engine optimization, and social media services.
