Adults 55
and older use their life experience and skills to help address critical
needs in the community, such as hunger, housing, health care, public
safety, homeland security, youth or education. Some of the organizations
where RSVP members volunteer include Missoula Food Bank, Missoula
Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, Radio Reading Service and

Missoula
Symphony Association -
Inspired music in an inspired place
The
Missoula Symphony Association brings beautiful music to life.
Their regular concert schedule includes five scheduled symphony/orchestra
performances every
year. In addition to the regular concert season, every year
the orchestra performs an enormous free outdoor Summer Concert in
August in downtown Missoula, performs two Youth Concerts each year
for 2,000 fourth grade students, performs a sold-out annual Family
Concert, and provides educational performances in Missoula schools
and in outlying communities. During the Winter 2008 term,
MOLLI partnered with Darko Butorac, John Driscoll, and the Missoula
Symphony to bring a behind the scenes look at how the symphony is
produced to MOLLI members. This short complimentary class
featured two lecture classes with Mr. Butorac followed by a class
that featured a rehearsal of the chorus which MOLLI members were
able view. During intermission and after class Mr. Butorac
curteously allowed curious members to interrogate him regarding
the inner workings of the Symphony.
