HOW
TO USE CYBERBEAR REGISTRATION
The registration process is easy! When you enter the web site,
www.umt.edu/cyberbear,
you receive a list of options and the system guides you through
the registration process. Enter your Student ID Number, your
PIN (Personal Identification Number) and the Course Request
Numbers (CRN) of the courses for which you are registering.
If you enter any invalid data, the system alerts you to the
error and prompts you for the correct information.
Cyberbear
disconnects you if 5 minutes pass without an entry. After you
add or drop courses or change options, you must Submit Changes.
If you log out before you Submit Changes, your courses are canceled.
If you have problems, call the Registration Help Line at 406.243.6077.
1. Click on Login.
2. Follow the directions on the screen to enter your student
ID number and your Personal Identification Number, PIN. The
PIN is your birth date unless you have changed it. Example:
060780 is June 7, 1980.
3. At the Main Menu, click on Student and Financial
Aid.
4. At Student, click on Registration.
5. At Registration, click on Register/Add/Drop Classes.
6. At Select Term, click the arrow to the right
of term and select Summer Session 2008. Click
Submit.
7. Follow the directions on the screen to enter the Course Request
Numbers (CRNs) for the courses for which you are
registering. Then click on Submit Changes.
After you have registered, you may click on the arrow to the
left of a course to drop the course. Remember to click on Submit
Changes if you select this option.
8. If you wish to register for variable credit, audit credit
or Credit/No Credit grading, click on Return to Menu
in the upper right corner to return to the Registration Menu.
Click on Change Class Options. Click the arrow
to the right of the
appropriate class and make your selection. Click Submit
Changes.
9. You may return to the Registration Menu by clicking on Return
to Menu in the top right corner of the screen; to review
your schedule, click on Student Schedule By Day and
Time or click on Student Detail Schedule.
10. To purchase Health Service or to add Parking, return to
the Registration Menu by clicking on Return to Menu
in the top right corner of the screen. Select Health
Issues, Campus Parking & Bills. Select Term,
Submit Term, select Option(s), then
click Submit.
11. To end the registration process, click on Exit
in the top right corner of the screen. Click Return
to Homepage. To assure privacy, exit from the web. |

What Can You Do on Cyberbear? |
- Pay fees by using a credit
card or e-check
- Finalize registration/bills
with a refund or zero balance and no holds
- Determine what you owe, debit
or credit (24 hours after signing up for classes), and
time of last update
- Request refunds
- Determine if your registration
is finalized
- Enter or change email addresses
- Obtain grades (after August
5, 2008)
