Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Core Facility

Micromass LCT and QTOF mass spectrometers have the capabilities to help researchers investigate an array of problems ranging from chemical composition to macromolecular structures. Most important, the QTOF instrument is the state-of-the-art technology in proteomics. A new MALDI DE Mass Spectrometer from Applied Biosystems has recently been installed to complement the technologies offered by the LCT and QTOF Micromass mass spectrometers. The MALDI is used principally to analyze proteins and peptides.
