Editing Blocks

Editing template blocks is similiar to most editing within the CMS. However, when a template block is edited, the change affects every page created with that template.

To edit a block that contains text, click on the block icon that appears near the text.

When clicked, a box will appear with options. Click on edit denoted by the pencil icon.

You will be taken to an edit screen for the block. Once finished, click submit and the changes you made will propagate throughout your site where the block is attached. You will need to republish these pages in order for the changes made in the block to appear outside of Cascade.

Index (Navigation) Blocks

Generally, the default sort order for navigation is "Folder Order," which allows the user to manually choose the order of their navigation.

To change the sort order of the navigation, click on the block icon inside the navigation, then edit.

There are multiple options, however the most often used are "Folder Order" or "Alphabetical," which reside at the bottom of the edit screen. If you change other options on this screen, your navigation could stop functioning.
