Cascade offers two ways Cascade menus are created from site structure (files and folders) but can also include direct links to external sites. When such menu links are established, the external link is displayed and, when selected, takes the users away from the original site to the linked site. (There are two ways that external sites can be linked from Cascade sites: an external link embedded in the content of the page or the external menu links discussed on this page.)
To create an external link menu item, select the desired folder (or the Base Folder for a menu link at the top level of the site). Next select New > External Link from the menu.

Appropriate information should be entered in the "System Name," "Display Name" and "Title" fields of the Content tab. Display names and titles show up as the menu item and the web browser window or tab title (respectively) just as they do with pages.

Once all three names have been entered for the object, click on Submit. The resulting Cascade object looks like the images below: on the left image is the view inside Cascade and on the right the view on the published site.
