Image showing CMS internal structureNew sites

Each new standard site has the same basic structure.  The first three folders are not visible to web visitors and contain the basics pieces of the site structure.  These are the:

  • _cms folder: all the templates and the blocks (areas on site pages that are indicated with a lego-like block.)
  • css folder: the cascading stylesheets(css) that are local to the site.  Although all sites within the CMS are influenced by additional global CSS files, styles put in these local CSS files override some of the global formatting.
  • imx folder: the images folder which contains the header file for the site.  Additional image files should be added to this folder.
