Native American Center of Excellence (NACOE)
Applications are now being accepted for a full-time fellowship
at The University of Montana School of Pharmacy and Allied Health
Sciences in beautiful Missoula, Montana. This fellowship is for
American Indian/Alaskan Native scientists and healthcare professionals
who have an interest in receiving training in research and teaching
in any area of Indian Health. It is a two-year fellowship that
will prepare candidates for faculty positions.
NACOE is funded by the Health Services and Resources Administration
and is dedicated to increasing the number of American Indian faculty
members in schools of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences.
NACOE offers the Faculty Fellow the following:
$40,000.00 annual salary
$25,000.00 salary enhancement
$100,000-125,000 (overall) in startup costs
In addition, funding is available for continuing education, professional
development and seminar speakers.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be an enrolled member of a recognized tribe,
Must have a terminal degree in biological or health sciences
(Ph.D., M.D., Pharm. D.)
Must have a STRONG interest in Academic Medicine and Research
