Introduction

University committees serve a wide variety of functions at The University of Montana and vary in terms of their mission, membership, and representative term length.  For example, some committees serve in a long-term advisory capacity while others convene for a short time to focus upon clearly identified tasks.  Committees are typically comprised of members from the faculty, staff, and student communities, and the respective Senates – Faculty, Staff, and ASUM – nominate individuals to serve and forward their nominees to the appropriate individual for final selection.

One may obtain additional information about a particular committee by contacting the Committee Chair, if noted, or the Executive Officer overseeing the committee.  In addition, current committee membership may be viewed throughout the year via the web at:  http://www.umt.edu/committees.  Please call 243-2311 with any questions.
