TOBACCO TASK FORCE

CHARGE

The UM Tobacco Task Force works to create a safe, healthy, and accessible campus environment by implementing the Tobacco Free UM Policy #406.1. The Tobacco Free UM Policy stems from the University Administration's commitment to educating students, faculty, and staff regarding the health risks associated with tobacco use. The policy will come into effect in Fall 2011, and implementation efforts will initially focus on educational programs that promote the benefits of a tobacco-free environment for the campus community. The Task Force will oversee these campus-wide educational efforts as well as monitor and enhance compliance with the policy.
