The UM NSF EPSCoR program and The University of Montana have partnered to successfully complete a number of new faculty hires, thus fulfilling a major focus area in the 2004-2007 award, nine months before the end of the grant.  In meeting the dual hiring mission of the EPSCoR and the academic units, we dramatically exceeded the number of faculty hires and startup costs and subsequently, the budget originally planned to meet the hiring needs. 

That being said, EPSCoR funds for the final year of this award are already encumbered.  At this time the following programs will be closed: new faculty hires & startup, graduate student stipends, infrastructure assessments, scientific conferences, seminar speakers, visiting scholars, SBIR, faculty small business transitions, outreach projects, family science nights, science on film, science within society, center for teaching excellence,  science education platforms and undergraduate summer diversity research.

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER SEMESTER 2007.
