Read
this section if you wish to apply for Montana NSF EPSCoR funding for an
outreach project.
Awards will be made
to assist departments, investigators and community members develop and
host various outreach projects that connect The University of Montana
campuses and Montana public schools and communities. The goal is to bring
faculty and their research interests together with Montana educational
and community groups, to create and enhance increased scientific discussion,
exposure and experiences for UM and Montana community members.
- Funding is available
in all science areas, however funding priority will be given to larger
university/community science education collaborations and undergraduate
and public school-based research efforts.
- Funding may not
be used to pay for entertainment, alcohol or other items prohibited
by institutional, state or NSF guidelines.
- NSF EPSCoR encourages
matching funds of at least 2:1 (NSF : Match) with departmental, university,
state, community, corporate or other outside assistance.
- Recipients of these
awards must complete a final report outlining the successes of the project.
The report should include 3 to 5 photographs taken during project activities
and must be received by the NSF EPSCoR Office within 30 days of project
completion.
