SBIR Phase 0
Awards help develop the economic S&T base in Montana, the Montana
NSF EPSCoR has developed a partnership with the State to help fund
SBIR Phase 0 awards (up to $5,000 each) aimed to promote and encourage
SBIR Phase 1 award applications. Linda Brander, SBIR Program Manager,
Montana Department of Commerce, will head this program for the State
of Montana (UM/MSU technology transfer directors will assist with
the competitions). These awards show a high correlation with Phase
1 success. We expect to see an increased number of Phase 1 and Phase
2 awards in the State of Montana.
