| The
NSF EPSCoR supported graduate program Science and Natural History
Filmmaking at Montana State University was designed as an interdisciplinary
program based on several radical premises to educate a new generation
of filmmakers on crafting programs about science for television,
exhibitions for museums and visual science education.
To further
these efforts, UM NSF EPSCoR has partnered and will contribute additional
financial support to the MSU Department of Media, Theatre and Arts
to produce several short films, which will profile some of the more
prominent scientists and their research in Montana. These films
will air through the Montana Public Broadcasting system in 2005.
