Promote a clearer and deeper understanding of the ethical issues that arise from solar radiation management (SRM) in an effort to inform future deliberations.
Workshop Objectives
- Identify the key ethical issues that arise from various SRM proposals and make concrete recommendations to inform policy discussions.
- Provide a forum to advance interdisciplinary dialogue among scientists, social scientists, philosophers, policymakers, and others, on the ethical implications of SRM.
- Develop detailed analyses of the ethical issues arising from SRM proposals.
- Facilitate public understanding of the ethical implication of various SRM proposals.
