Online Research Ethics Education Opportunities
The Mansfield Ethics and Public Affairs Program provides two online opportunities for exploring the central principles of research ethics.
The Ethics and Public Affairs Program has developed a research ethics course with support from the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) in 2002-2003. The course is free of charge and available to students and professionals. The course can be accessed here:
In 2009, the Center developed an Undergraduate Research Ethics Online Resource Center with support from the University of Montana's Miles Program and IM Sure Program as well as the NW Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The resource center is geared toward undergraduates and is intended to provide students with a basic understanding of the ethical principles required for scientific integrity and trustworthiness as well as information on UM and federal policy.
