Environmental Ethics
Institute :: Come to beautiful Missoula, Montana and combine a unique summer vacation with a stimulating educational opportunity. Few universities offer a setting with such spectacular beauty and recreational resources as The University of Montana, which is surrounded by mountains and located at the confluence of three rivers: the Clark Fork of the Columbia, the Blackfoot and teh Bitterroot. The Rattlesnake Wilderness Area can be reached by bicycle or city bus, and Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks are within easy driving distance. The Institute provides participants with an outstanding opportunity to learn about and discuss the foundations of environmental ethics. By delving into the sources of ethical thought on the environment, participants will develop their ability to engage in policy debates at a deeper level - the level of ethical discourse. The Institute provides excellent opportunities for citizens, scholars, students, environmental educators and leaders to reflect on environmental and ethical issues. Highlights from 2006:
