Two talks on Morality and War

Political Agency in the Postmodern Age

 


The Department of Military Science and The Center for Ethics at The University of Montana along with the Western Montana Spiritual Development Council present two talks on Morality and War. Andrew Fiala, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Ethics Center at California State University, Fresno, will discuss his book "The Just War Myth: the Moral Illusions of War" on Thursday, March 6, 2008, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the UC North Ballroom at UM. Col. Daniel Zupan (Ret.), the Dean of Valley Forge Military Academy and College and former Professor of English and Philosophy at West Point, will discuss his book "War, Morality, and Autonomy: An Investigation into Just War Theory" on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, from 7:00 pm to 8:30pm in the UC North Ballroom at UM. Both events are free and all are welcome.
