URCC Annual Report for 2004-05

The University Research and Creativity Committee (URCC) has two primary responsibilities to handle each year. One function is selecting research proposals for the Small Grants Program, which is funded by the Office of Research and Development. The other function is selecting a faculty member for the Distinguished Scholar Award. This person is selected from a pool of nominees.

This year $75,000 were awarded in the Small Grants Program to 21 faculty proposals; there were 47 proposals totaling more than $200,000 in requests. The Distinguished Scholar Award was awarded to Peter Koehn, who is a senior faculty member in the Department of Political Science.

This completes our tasks for the 2004-05 academic year. The members of the the URCC are listed below. Thank you.
