Work on this committee is a rather administrative task, comparing proposed unit standards with the CBA.
Topics Addressed (agenda items)¯
We developed a unit standards revision procedure with yearly timeline. Also, discussed unit standards of Art, English, Geosciences, Music, Pharmacy Practice, Print Journalism, Public and Community Health Sciences and Radio-TV.
Actions Taken (resolutions, proposals, recommendations)¯
Approved unit standards of Art, English, Geosciences, Music, Print Journalism, Public and Community Health Sciences, Radio-TV. We asked that the standards for Pharmacy Practice be revised as they did not comply with basic requirements as outlined in the CBA.
Unresolved Issues ¯
Unit standards of Pharmacy Practice will have to be revised by the department and again reviewed by USC. Many departments will need to revise their standards in the coming year. Further, the CBA needs to be adjusted so as to accommodate the changes included in the unit standards revision procedure.
