Position

Scott began work as the Research Coordinator for the Flathead Lake Biological Stations in June 2003. He is the station's liaison with local government agencies and public interest groups. He is also the Quality Assurance / Quality Control officer for the Freshwater Research analytical laboratory. He performs all total carbon and total nitrogen analysis of plant tissue, soil, and water samples.

Education

B.S. Fishery Science from Colorado State University
M.S. Biology from Idaho State University
Thesis- Effects of Substrate Reflectance, Light Intensity, and Season on Stream Periphyton Biomass

Previous Experience and Research

Idaho State University- Worked on adaptation of rapid bioassessment protocols to medium and large rivers, secondary production in wilderness streams, stream and riparian nutrient cycling, and pika research in the Beartooth Wilderness.

Yellowstone National Park - Fisheries Technician, Coyote and Mountain Lion Biologist

Four and a half years Laboratory Materials Supervisor for the Center for Ecological Research and Education (CERE) quantitative analysis laboratory.
