Thesis project:
The Wallowa terrane is part of the Wallowa
Mountains and is located in eastern Oregon, western Idaho,
and part of Washington. It represents
an ancient volcanic island arc that was accreted to the North American craton
during the Cretaceous. My project deals with the reef diversity during the
Late Triassic, specifically, looking at the diversity of the coral and sponge
fauna before, during, and after the Carnain/Norian boundary leading up to
the Triassic/Jurassic mass extinction.
